I deeply despise people who flippantly dismiss entire swathes of existence for the sole reason they can’t profit off it. Imagine thinking plant pollination as a concept is best addressed by allowing the destruction of nature and having the tech industry engineer a solution that can be parceled off and sold after deciding it wasn’t profitable enough to prevent the pollinators going extinct.
I have seen the same argument against planting trees too , that tree planting is not profitable and hence it is not a good way to combat global warming ! I mean …
