Haven’t preordered a game in at least 15 years. I preordered this one. I want that juicy September 1st playtime. Haven’t been this excited for a game since I don’t know when.

Does this really belong in this community? Is this REALLY mildlyinfuriating?

To contrast some of the comments here from people who’ve clearly never used one of these foldables outside of a display case, I’ve had my Fold 3 (the larger folding tablet style) for two years. I came from the Note and S lines, Windows Phone, and have bounced between iPhones. My Fold 3 is in great shape and has survived many falls. It’s definitely durable enough for me. I take care of it, but I get that some people don’t desire to take care of their devices and expect them to be exceedingly durable. Never had anything under the screen. Never take it to the beach unless it’s in a sealed ziplock. I take care not to put it in dusty environments or let sawdust or shavings get into it (hobbies).

Unfolded, it’s better than any other phone out there. Viewing videos enlarged or widescreen is great depending on video and application. During normal usage, the crease is not noticable enough to be a distraction unless viewed from a severe angle (think the person sitting next to you). Unfolded scrolling of Lemmy, the internet, and reading is a better experience than anything else out there - bar none, no argument. The screen is just huge and viewing websites in mobile or desktop is fantastic. It makes the web actually useable from a mobile device. I never use my Galaxy Tab anymore. Samsung does a pretty good job software-wise adapting apps to fit the foldable aspect ratio if a guveb app doesn’t officially support it. More apps are supporting foldables every day.

I would agree with the sentiment that the Z Flip line likely has a more gimmicky purpose. At least the Fold line functions as a tablet and is a decent phone folded up. At least, that is my experience with a Z Flip 3 before swapping for a Fold 3. But I’ll be buying foldables exclusively from here on out. After using the Fold 3 for two years, I can say it’s folding screen is definitely NOT a gimmick.

That just sounds like free advertising. No one would actually connect the Sunoco name to a forest fire…but Sunoco would get their company name repeated millions of times per day on web and TV network traffic free of charge. No thanks.

Saw Sound of Freedom. Pretty impressive for such a small budget. Glad it didn’t show anything graphic, we all know what happens. First 2hr+ movie I’ve seen in a while where I didn’t find myself wondering “how much longer?” Awesome watch.

The Sync for Reddit dev just announced that Sync for Lemmy is going to be developed. Sync for Reddit is one of the very high quality 3rd party reddit apps that will be shutdown later this month. So you’ve got that to look forward to.

Yeah we need to leave that in the past and not repeat a fiasco like that. The community could have handled that much better. I’m just thankful for the support from lj.

I don’t feel a need to stay up to date, no. But reading about what those idiots think doesn’t hurt my ego or ruin my day. I just like to have an idea of what the “enemy” is thinking. I don’t want to live in an echo chamber. The sub isn’t even THAT bad compared to what I was expecting. They’ve got some gross posts, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not NEARLY bad enough to warrant defederating. Most of the posted content is moderate-right. Defederating is silly in this case.

Defederation should be the LAST and FINAL option. From what I understand, this is a small instance that isn’t causing much trouble outside of their instance. Block them on your own! I’m on lemmy.world, but personally I would like to keep up to date on the shit they post. I don’t think we should start going around defederating communities that we disagree with, even though their opinions are shit, vile, offensive, and disgusting. Leave it up and block them on your own.

Edit: 10 years ago I used to be one of those intolerable fucks. Yes - exactly like them. Until I talked to other people on Reddit, real life, and listened to other ideas. I had a change of heart and hope even a couple of them could too. It happens.

I can’t comment on utility trailers because I haven’t really towed any of those around. I currently drive a Toyota 4Runner, which is notoriously underpowered in the engine/towing department - so it’s going to have a poorer experience to begin with. As far as my towing experience, I am pleased with the ride. It doesn’t seem to pull “too heavy” or suffer from as much wind drag as I was expecting. Drive thrus are not an issue. It’s <9ft tall. This one is about 4’x10’ with one axle. The V nose is nice because it gives a little extra room in the front. Side door is a MUST, IMO. It’s so much easier to get in/out and it’s nice to keep it open when inside and working on the bike. If you decide to use the bike as a garage, make sure the rear of the trailer is secured with jack stands so you can ride in and out without the trailer tipping backwards. I’d like to install AC power. For now I run a cord inside when I’m working. DeWalt work light hangs from ceiling via a RAM mount with 8.0 Ah battery. I’ve made a lot of changes since this picture was taken like installing a floor and adding a table.

I never would have DREAMED I would be using the trailer this frequently- even while having a pickup truck easily accessible. Motorcycle garage? Trailer. Large dining room table need bought/moved? Trailer. Helping family member move? Trailer. Going to a festival/airshow for a week? Bring the tent and the Trailer.

It also has four solid mounting D-rings that are on the sides of the trailer walls. You can make them out behind the chair on the right.

I would say get the trailer. It’s been my most cherished purchase in years.

I think the frame would help a lot - I was talking about the normal covers that you throw onto a bike/mower. I was really inspired by these across the pond. That $4k price tag is ridiculous though and is more expensive than when I looked a few years ago before getting the trailer. I think they were priced around $2500 but maybe I’m misremembering.

Another benefit of the framed covers that you are looking at is that they seem to have much thicker material that could really withstand some wind when paired with the frame. The reviews look fantastic with this one. It looks super sturdy and the reviews seem to reflect that it’s moisture proof. A little pricey…but it’s your BIKE! Only the best.

That’s awesome and not what I was expecting! I imagine most of them could pick it up? Any tips for swapping out 70-year-old men for getting women to talk to you? Delete even more chrome?
