You can move to a different school system. It’s not terribly hard. And if you don’t like the approved curriculum, you join the school board, and you work to change it. Otherwise, yes…we require our kids to go to school.

Except…I can choose the school my kids go to and participate in deciding what they learn.

Really? Season three is where I really thought Seth toned down the dick and fart jokes and started focusing on what made ST amazing. The whole left behind story where Gordon is trapped for long enough in the past that he has a whole family he has to leave behind was heartbreaking and exactly the sort of storyline that made me love TNG in the first place.

The Gordon/Time travel episode was brutal. It’s the episode I keep referring to when attempting to get my girlfriend to suspend her dislike of Seth McFarlane enough to give the show a shot. I will be very disappointed if there isn’t a 4th episode.

Did you use them both? I did not. I can say I loved RiF, but I’d never even heard of Sync until about a month ago. Be interested to hear the opinion of one who’d used both…

RiF was all I ever used. Never even heard of Sync until I migrated to Lemmy at the end of June. Fwiw, I found Connect rather quickly, and it feels almost exactly like RiF. Enough that it scratches the itch. I tried Sync for about an hour today… It’s fine enough… But I can’t figure out what it has that Connect doesn’t. Maybe it’s just that everyone who used Sync was just comfortable and didn’t want to change. I’m fine with it being a paid app, or subscription, or whatever dude decides to do to help support himself, too…I just don’t get the hubbub when there’s a perfectly excellent free alternative in Connect.

Good grief…I had no idea this monstrosity had become governor of a state. It makes sense that it’s Arkansas… But still. Who the fuck takes one look at that beast and thinks, “There… That’s the person I want in charge of the lives of those around me!”. Honestly…If I saw this thing at dusk walking towards me on some street, I’d immediately cross both myself and said street out of fear of the eldritch horror streaming forth from it’s eyes. Look at that face! Tell me it doesn’t scream, “I eat souls and shit demons”.
