My biggest complaint is how Linus is still saying he’s not sorry about what he did, at least it doesn’t seem genuine, instead he is still apologizing that he didn’t realize what the community wanted.

He shouldn’t care what the community wants. He should always strive for accurate data, ethical partnerships, and correcting mistakes when they still make it through because they always will.

Linus is doubling down on his opinions, hiding mistakes, doing the bare minimum to fix them, and needs public outcry and the heavy hand of the other executives in LTT to see any course change.

Picking and choosing what parts of the Bible they want to follow is nearly as old as the religion itself. The first council of Nicea was the first large attempt for Christianity to define itself and create a canon. That happened in 325 AD. Even if we talk only about protestants, denominations are all about what parts of the bible they follow and how they translate the word to doctrine.

To attribute it to one man is so disingenuous. Christians have been interpreting the Bible in whatever way suits them best for over a millenia.

I’m a bit confused. Of course, if the parents are not supportive then them needing to approve the “nickname” is a problem, but if the parent is supportive, isn’t this good for parents becuase it give them more control over the school. If the parent approves of the nickname, the school has to recognize it and refer to the child by th name.

I never understood why we can elect local judges but not our Supreme Court. I understand why people say it’s to keep it from being a political position that people run for like the president, but there has to be some harsher regulations on the Supreme Court judges becuase they keep doing shit like this. All the weird shit is to keep them “unbiased” but it’s clearly that’s just lie we tell the people to keep them placated.

If anyone believes the Supreme Court judges are unaffiliated with political parties, they are willingly ignorant.

As all this stuff comes out and gets verified, I keep naively thinking that we will see these people face consequences soon. Eventually someone will have to take action and remove him from his position, but as time passes, nothing happens. The news cycle moves on, and the general population forgets.

I think he is trying to conflate the 6 year old bragging about shooting people with Kyle Rittenhouse “bragging” about overcoming an attempted character assassination, criminal charges, and successfully defending himself from those who intended to cause death or great bodily harm.

I belive he thinks Kyle Rittenhouse “bragging” about shooting (lawful self-defense) people is the same as the 6 year old bragging about shooting (attempted murder) his teacher.

It’s probably a case of her thinking she can not defend herself out of fear of backlash. Teachers have been charged with assault when defending themselves from students.
