I want the Government to ban restaurants and hotels from automatically adding service charges to bills without prior customer consent. I feel many businesses take advantage of diners by imposing these charges without making it clear that they are optional.

After reading this Reddit thread I had a look to see if there were any petitions to prevent this and found the petition I have linked in this post, doesn’t seem to have a lot of signatures.

    Boycott locations that do this. Write a one star review on your Maps of choice to bring awareness to this.

    That’s the only thing that will realistically do something but only if enough people do it.

    Political process is so fucked nowadays that it almost feels like they are there a prop to cosplay democracies while just doing bidding of the owner class to fick working people over.

    A lot of this nickle and dime comes with shot like delivery food. Stop fucking getting delivery… Every whines about having no money but some how delivery food is booming lol
