Goodreads alternative for tracking author and book releases?
One thing I still use Goodreads for is to send me emails when books I add to my want to read list are released. I also use it to track when followed authors release new books. Is there an alternative service that provides this same kind of functionality? I am mainly looking for a service that will let me track releases by authors and or new book Releases if I add them to a want to read shelf. I am also interested in learning when one of my authors contributes to an anthology or collection. I know that I can subscribe to their blogs and mailing lists and otherwise, but I found that Goodreads really helped me keep track of book releases and authors works without having to switch to their new mailing lists or switch my RSS feed to their new Blogs, or similar. I’m Not really interested in tracking my reading or social features

Some time ago someone was suggesting bookwyrm as a federated alternative to Goodreads…
Fantastic Fiction is great for this. I learned about it from a friend who worked at a bookstore.
@JaymesRS Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for! I just wish the books had synopsis on the pages, though. This is actually great!
As long as there’s one published, there should be a shorter one listed lower on the page by the box that gets you a link to an online retailer.
Is it only for fiction?
I found storygraph advertising themselves as alternative to Goodreads.
If you are more into fediverse, there is bookwyrm also.
I love bookwyrm, but it doesn’t have this functionality.
Oh, my bad. I am new to bookwyrm and just started using it.
Same only made the account yesterday haven’t really worked out what it’s really for yet all I can really say is the lists seemed irrelevant to anything I searched.
This isn’t a book tracker like bookwyrm et al, this is only a list of books in a series and a method to notify you when upcoming books are announced that meet criteria you set.
