After more than two years FlorisBoard (an open-source keyboard which respects your privacy) 0.4.0 is finally released with many new features including MDY support, addons store, incognito mode, major smartbar rework and many other bugfixes and improvements.
Regarding the spell checking (from GitHub release notes):
Word suggestions/spell checking are not included in the current releases and are a major goal for the v0.5 milestone.
Still no word suggestions?? Wow.
Anyway, Heliboard exists.
I went through like 3 oss keyboards and settled for Heliboard as only one that’s usable.
Glide typing is unavailable
Did it get turned off? This is gonna be a major problem for me 😬
EDIT: It totally did. Looks like I’ll be on 3.1.6 for a while
great update! however, the emoji suggestions don’t work properly on my end. either no emoji suggestions are given or if there are suggestions, they’re kinda limited
i hope this function in florisboard will be as polished as signal’s in the future
