We’re cooked because our leaders are pumping the AI bubble while crashing the rest of the economy. When that bubble pops those programmers are going to have to find a job in a nuclear sized crater of where the economy used to be.

It’s easier if you’re not ideologically consistent, maybe we sell their labor to North Korea for some peace. But if there were ideological consistency, it would be to trade these poor souls on the block chain.

It’s not even a question when we’re literally fighting for due process.

When asked why such basic tasks are impractical they will say “just look at how incompetent we are!”

Well now I feel like an asshole for telling my wife it wasn’t her fault for being let go.

Kind of feels like all three branches have done that. Congress isn’t holding the executive or the courts to account, the court is splitting the power transfer with the executive branch to avoid being made outright irrelevant, and the executive branch is acting like a monarchy.

If we can’t explain the difference, AI must be sentient? This argument reminds me of “God of the gaps”.

So use it on things no one cares about, got it.
