Is the lover of hyperfixations and infodumps in the room right now?

Back when I was into forums, being active and contributing usually turned into being accepted in the community. With these Discord’s, I’ve been ignored and overlooked every time.

Being on the spectrum doesn’t help… It’s like you have to learn how to communicate all over again.

There’s a commercial Linux client I was using called Insync and it was perfect. Only stopped using it because I switched away from Linux

I work in a mainframe as part of my daily job. It’s one of my favorite things. Intensely powerful, can shuffle through thousands of records of data in an instant.

It’s expensive to run, and likely could be replaced with a modern application… but that high availability, high parallelism, and ‘built-in’ handling of resource scheduling to avoid deadlocks and other multitasking worries is hard to beat.

There’s a reason it’s stuck around. And while it’s annoyingly proprietary and in most cases still means you’re in the green screen terminals, it’s just a powerful tool.

LEGO Island was so awesome… been following MattKC for awhile now and was super pleased he took this on.

I had been looking into trying to remake the island in something more modern like Blender, but without reference or debug info, it’s difficult.

Hopefully this results in some newer and better ways to play. Though it will probably take a few years!

Huge shoutout to you and all of those who have gotten kbin to this point. Super crazy to have seen it go from struggling to a place I can happily and easily browse
