We need to see the trend from 2019 to till date. There was a pressure to buy phones & tablets to attend online classes during covid. Almost every house would have an extra mobile phone, there is no surprise the sales decline.
Also the OEMs increase the phone price every year, it could be another reason.
Any type of technology that brings equality.
A perspective from India. 20+ years ago before ATMs were implemented, the bank officials treated each customer differently. A worker with dirty clothes would be treated poorly than a person who wears a tuck-in shirt.
Situation now: ATMs don’t know who is rich and who is poor. All people are equal.
I’m using it and I feel it is far better than the other apps.
You may try qksms from f-droid.
When the covid hit in 2020, most schools opted for online classes. People from India bought lot of phones as cost is way less compared to laptop or tablet. So the 2020 is peak.
If we have data prior to 2020, we can see the 2020 is an outlier.
I bought during the sale. 4 keys for $50.
Youtube, Ilayaraja songs.
Try to add 100+ things to make it very big project, then dropped without even completing 10% of to-do list.
Eventually you get a better idea to start the same project from scratch, then drop it.
3 phones from my family, all running CRDroid. Can’t stand with MIUI and their trackers.
Redmi Note 4 is the champ here - bought in Sep 2017, almost 7 years old. Used MIUI for the first 15 days to unlock bootloader.
Poco X3 - 2.5 years old. Redmi Note 10 Pro - 1.25 years old.
Mildly infuriating because of the volume bar in the screenshot. You could have taken screenshot from the recents.
Wireguard + pihole?

It supports to transfer files, clipboard, able to access/send SMS, use it as remote keyboard/mouse, pass terminal commands from mobile to pc and many more without Google.
The peer devices should be on same Wi-Fi, that’s the requirement.
Is it possible to use a mouse? You can connect the USB port via dongle and use it.
Not sure you can draw a pattern with a mouse, but you can try it in another device before trying it in the phone.
I have owned a Samsung phone like a decade ago when the Ace series were released. So not sure the attempts will reset after a certain period.
What I feel is that you need do is to compare the cost of power supply vs hardware then choose whichever is cheaper.
Update us, how things went after you install it.
Are you going to unplug the existing harddisk? If your Linux /efi partition is written in the windows boot partition, you are kind of messed up.
Better unplug the existing harddisk and try Linux, once you are comfortable you can switch to dual boot then completely swith over to Linux.

English is not my first language. I use it to fix grammar and rephrase sentences for making communication easy.
The platform/language that I use doesn’t supported by chat GPT or Bard. So I write my own code.
