Robots will take our jobs, but we’ll still have to pay rent.
The “1” is confusing.
“Mortal Kombat” launched in 1992, then “Mortal Kombat” launched in 2011. The 2011 reboot is casually referred to as “Mortal Kombat 9” to avoid confusion, but that is not its actual title.
Now “Mortal Kombat 1” is technically Mortal Kombat 12. The story directly follows the events of MK11, but it takes place in an entirely new era of the canon. So I guess that makes it a reboot and a sequel?

At this point I’m convinced he’s intentionally trying to destroy the company out of spite because the SEC called his bluff on the acquisition.
This isn’t the behavior of a rational adult. This is what I’d expect from a spoiled child.
It has bluetooth so it can pair with your phone and sync with your health data. It will monitor your calorie intake throughout the day, and when the integrated AI thinks you’ve eaten enough, the spoon will vibrate to shake off any remaining food.
It will automatically take pictures of what you’re eating and post them to your social media feeds, and share with friends and family. This feature is on by default.
The OLED screen and speaker built into the handle will display high-definition ads for food recommendations at the nearest grocery store. The pro model has a microphone so you can easily add items to your shopping list. You can opt-out of ads for just $5/month.
It weighs 3kg and is hand-wash only.

The c-suite culture cares about one thing: “Number go up”
They do not give a shit why people are still on reddit. They look at the site traffic analytics and as long as the number is going up, they think they’re doing the right thing. Your mere presence on the site is only seen as opportunity for them to squeeze out more ad revenue.
“But I don’t click on the ads!”
They don’t care about that either! Every time an ad appears on your screen, that gets recorded as a data point in their analytics, regardless of whether or not you interact with it.
They just want to see the numbers go up. They don’t care how it happens, as long as it happens.
If you want to hit them where it hurts, stop engaging with the site.
Precisely this.

It’s a lot less “social media” and a lot more “social advertising”.
All I see is different brand accounts and influencers memeing on each other.
I would love to see a series of actors bringing their own interpretations to this scene. Similar to how comedians develop their own versions of the “Aristocrats” joke.
