they will put the battery in a section not waterproof under the back cover. the replacement battery will come with a waterproof glue circle around the contacts. when replacing it, you will rub off some old glue and seal it again by inserting the new one. water can enter the back cover, but do no harm there.

Bei Aufrüstung geht es erstmal gar nicht um Menschenleben, sondern um Säbelrasseln. Abschreckung. Im Idealfall wird man dann nicht angegriffen oder kann wenigstens den Angreifer schnell wieder vertreiben. Natürlich kann es auch oassieren, dass der Angreifer vollkommen irre ist und alles nix bringt. Das ist leider manchmal so.

Ja, es gibt viele andere Menschen, die bereits Erfahrungen mit Militär, Krieg und vor allem Unterdrückung durch autoritäre Besetzer haben. Viele dieser Menschen sind überzeugt, dass ein Leben unter autoritärer Herrschaft nach Eroberung allgemein nicht lebenswert ist. Diese Menschen möchten, wenn es nötig wird, bis zum bitteren Ende für unsere Freiheit kämpfen, weil es noch viel schlimmer wäre und viel schwieriger ist, in Unterdrückung zu leben und zu überleben.

Natürlich kann es individuell sein, dass jemand lieber flüchten möchte, als die Freiheit zu verteidigen. Ich finde das legitim, aber es ist auch kein Spaß und endet oft schlimm, z.B. mit dem Hungertod in einem Flüchtlingslager. Diese Option wird es immer geben, auch wenn sie z.T. sehr erschwert sein kann.

Tatsache ist auch: Wenn sich niemand den Armeen der Despoten in den Weg stellt, fällt ihnen in wenigen Jahren die ganze Welt einfach in den Schoß und dann werden wir nichtmal mehr gefragt. Dann gibt es so oder so Aufrüstung aber der Feind sind dann hilflose Aufständige im Imperium, die ohne Gegenwehr niedergemetzelt und zu Tode gefoltert werden.

In Germany jail is not to lock people away for public security, we have Sicherungsverwahrung and special psychiatric hospitals for that. Jail is for rehabilitation; to change their mind and make them functioning members of society again and it works most of the time. There’s a really good chance they come out fine in the end.

It used to not be bullying but protecting. I have relatives living on an island nation with a military that’s ridiculously small. They wouldn’t be able to resist any attack, but they felt safe, because they have big military vessels of allied nations in their port almost all year. It’s the perfect last stop to pick up supplies and refuel before embarking to long distances. They trust their allies will defend them in case of an attack, so they can keep using the port for strategic reasons.
