The real answer comes down to money and lobbying influencing their politics, as well as the filibuster stopping them the few times they have tried, such as when Bernie did in 2014. That would have been an actually valuable point that we could have discussions about.

I don’t think it’s about enjoying the content. I don’t filter it because I like having a firm grasp on what is happening politically in the world. As annoying, frustrating, and anxiety inducing as it is, Trump and Musk are two figures that are currently doing everything they can to fuck up our planet and governments so that they can make a few bucks. Yes there is a lot of musk and Trump content, but sticking your head in the sand and hoping it doesn’t effect you until it’s over is probably not the best way to handle it. I haven’t been on Reddit in years, but I recall it being the same situation there during Trump’s first term, there was just a little more non-political content to help dilute it due to the larger user-base.
