I don’t think you need a Google account to use Sandboxed Play Services in general. Maybe some specific things that require you to be logged into the Play Store but overall I can use Android Auto and other things I need without being logged in.
What did you find you needed to be logged in for?
I’ve been using GrapheneOS on my phones since the Pixel 3 and I have not had this issue when using Verizon. For the other person maybe it was a different carrier? Or some issue a while ago with that carrier and GrapheneOS.
Yeah I saw the takahē in Zealandia and one other zoo. Would have been cool to see in the wild if possible in the preservation areas the have.
Probably a Takahē in New Zealand but in captivity.
But out of curiosity what apps didn’t work for you that were deal breakers?
Works for me on Verizon and has for 5+ years. Google Fi even works as I’ve tried that with a different phone on GrapheneOS.
Alright that doesn’t sound that bad. I have a Mi Band 3 and haven’t upgraded to anything else due to the need to get a key with anything newer.
How was the Bangle JS2? What made you switch away from it?
I thought about using Amazfit products but all the new ones require Huami/Xiaomi server pairing. How was that process?
I personally use Mullvad and love it but it is not conducive to helping seed due to port forwarding being blocked.
Like another person said they resolved to that here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonVPN/comments/8ww4h2/protonvpn_and_tesonet/
I guess you decide if you like the response or not but that was a long time ago as well. 🙂
Phone app? Yes you have to use their own app. On a computer besides the browser version you can use Thunderbird and other applications if you download ProtonBridge.
I see. Somehow I missed your first edit with that information. It does not seem like that’s an option given the response on the GitHub discussions: https://github.com/bitfireAT/davx5-ose/discussions/318#discussioncomment-5814992
They suggest:
creating a Tasker automation, or use an specialized application for synchronization like Syncthing or FolderSync for example.
Apparently there’s also the option to use NextCloud and their app if you want to go that route like someone else suggested.
Yes I’ve been using DAVx⁵ for many years to sync my Synology Calendar to my phone via WebDAV and my contacts via CardDAV. Any concerns you have?
Just a preference thing since it makes it more like how Windows and some Linux distros do window management.
Hitting Alt + Tab brings up a preview of all windows that you have open with the ability to scroll / tab through them.
Hitting Alt + ` while focused on a certain application shows a preview image of each window for that application that you have open.
I personally like it more than the OSX default but to each their own.
I’m using it and a Logitech G502 but I haven’t played around to see what things it can and cannot do compared to Logitech’s own software. On Linux I use Piper to manage my mouse with a closer parity to Logitech’s actual software.
No problem! Glad I could help someone. I was so happy when I found it so I’m glad it can help others.
Makes sense haha. Whatever works is good. 🙂
