Yknow here’s the thing.
I distinctly remember telling myself “don’t type Dutch” because I always say one when I mean the other.

God I love how Dutch is essentially just how I talk after I’ve had a pint too many.
This will be his legacy. Opening the door wide open to the wolves and supporting the worst genocide since Rwanda. And he deserves it.
An old white man with cancer that he announced a month ago. He should be focusing on his treatment, not adding more to his plate.
Probably the single benefit of him being as old as he is. He had polio as a kid. He knows exactly how bad that shit is. He might be a stupid, evil motherfucker, but even he isn’t that stupid.
Time will tell. What they’ve been saying is mostly good, but words are one thing, actions are another. All we can do is hope.
My personal tinfoil hat theory (not that tinfoil hat tbh) for why refuse to admit they fucked up and put a photo of a completely different guy out is that they have nothing.
Which, granted, can’t even blame them. Your suspect is a white guy that’s probably on the younger side that checks notes owns a hoodie and a backpack, a description that probably fits hundreds of thousands in NYC. I’m assuming a guy that went through the trouble of putting words on the casings probably also went through the trouble of removing any potential fingerprints/dna. The fuck do you do with that? Add in the public’s seeming unwillingness to snitch even if they did know something…
Y’know to an extent I get the whole “but he was a father and husband!” angle
But how many thousands of parents and children died so this man could get another yacht? How many of them died slow, painful deaths from awful illnesses that could have been cured or prevented while he didn’t? He, along with all his executive friends, was a mass murdering psychopath. There is zero moral difference between committing murder with a gun and committing murder with the stroke of a pen.
So the interesting difference is in MO it’s a constitutional amendment. Same way weed was legalized.
That is not to say they won’t do everything in their power to circumvent it (they will. The MO state government may be one of the most authoritarian and least representative in the country), but there’s a lot more roadblocks in the way in MO than KS.
I am honestly shocked that something like this hadn’t happened much sooner
To be entirely fair that’s a ridiculously low bar to clear considering they hate children.
It’s not just me! The specific night that caused it for me I didn’t even drink any. I woke up with the worst hangover of my life to my friend throwing up the full bottle of malibu she had the night before. That smell is permanently ingrained in my brain.
The hand sanitizer my workplace ordered during covid was coconut scented. Made my stomach turn every time I walked by someone that used it.
That doesn’t much matter when the psychotic theocrats are going to be the ones in the positions of power
They’re goofy but in a cute cartoony way. I love them.
Am I going crazy or is that link going to an entirely different article than the post title (Trump’s threat to impose tariffs could raise prices for consumers, colliding with promise for relief)
Could be a federation issue between lw and mbin?
Edit: Seems to be the case. Weird.
There is no practical difference when SCOTUS will rubber stamp things
Practical differences are what matter.
It’s togglable
What has SCOTUS possibly done to show that they won’t rubber stamp each and every thing he does.
Edit: That’s not to say the tariffs are going to go through. I’m not sure they will. Rule #1 is you do not fuck with the bag and this is just about the definition of fucking with the bag
vending machine that sells bullets
Sometimes I truly do love the absurdity of my country
Always has been
