Not the original commenter but I’d wager similarly that yes, the vast majority of the American people are far too comfortable to venture into the “inconvenience” of an actual war. I worry that we as a society have turned a corner and these kind of folks have been empowered to the point there’s no going back. If they aren’t latched into Trump, it’ll just be the next DeSantis/Gaetz/MTG grifter they saddle up to.
