Honestly, might not be a popular opinion but I live in a big city and the amount of gardening-related local Facebook groups is insane. And since it’s Facebook, it’s all old people who have decades of experience with this shit. AND it’s region specific so they are constantly throwing down relevant advice for the zone you live in. 10/10 it’s literally the reason why I keep Facebook haha.

I haven’t looked into why they’re doing this, so maybe this insight is obvious and well known, but I imagine it has to do with the fact that they spend a shitton of money on these spaces/leases that they can’t easily get out of, so their way of dealing with it is by forcing employees to use it. My company is going through a similar situation, but they’re accepting the responsibility of eating the cost of the office space lease with several years left on the contract and don’t even try to entice people to use it. “Come in if you want, it’s going to be here for awhile!” is about as far as it goes, haha. Fuck Amazon.

Fair enough. If you happen to have an LG like I do, I recently learned this trick to install ad-free YouTube. Worked like a charm.

That’s a good point! I had trouble sometimes getting background audio to work after closing the app, but this was over a year ago at this point before I switched to vanced (and ultimately revanced). There is probably a fix for that by now.

Not sure why anyone would rather pay Google money vs simply installing YouTube revanced. If that ever goes away (it won’t), then I’ll just go back to Firefox + extensions for YouTube on mobile.

On a side note, I’m reaching the point in my life where I’ve become very interested in old country artists and new modern (underground) ones. I’d always heard of Hank Williams, but never really listened to what he had to say. And my god, some of his songs have made me emotional. The hurt, the struggle. I’m not someone to get easily emotional over anything, but hearing ol Hank sing about how his woman doesn’t love him because she had her heart broken by someone else but he still loves her anyway, cuts deep.
