I know 2 people who wrote COBOL code for some major healthcare systems a long time ago and they came out of retirement about 5 years ago to update/convert that code. They made six figure salaries working from home to update that code.

To quote the great Nicholas Meyer (Director of Wrath of Khan) who spoke on this topic:
“Roddenberry had his own utopian vision about the perfectibility of man, and I never really believed that. And I don’t think the show demonstrates that. I think it is about gunboat diplomacy. In the final analysis, the Enterprise fires. They’re always shooting and bringing civilization, and coming to worlds where they don’t approve of tyrannical enterprises – no pun intended – and they substitute their own quote unquote enlightened version of how society is supposed to work, which is essentially American.”
I think it’s more about how those types of buyers view the manufacturers reliability long term. The man is unhinged and has proven with Twitter that if given the chance he will willingly fuck over users. Imagine giving a bully the ability to limit your driving range or disabling your vehicle on a whim because he decides he doesn’t like you or what your local govt says.
Not saying he would do it but he has proven repeatedly to be unstable enough to believe he could escape punishment for doing it.
Those are super easy to fix. Even the Google eraser could fix those easily.
Another great episode. The a capella theme song was great too.
Yep. Went to Disneyland a year ago and the trip there was very affordable. The trip home was 3-4x higher since it was closing time.
100% agree with you. The TOS loyalists are going out of their way to find excuses to hate this show. It’s the best series I have seen since TNG and I am not saying the others were bad. I actually like all of them with the exception of Discovery because it focuses so heavily on one plotline and one character.
This is an ensemble with humor when it needs it and is more true to the heart of Trek than people are giving it credit.
I love this season. This show has done for me what Discovery didn’t. Made Trek fun or thought provoking when it needs to be while entertaining existing fans and new viewers.
I said nothing about politics. My stance isn’t changing. This season is just as good as the first. This is classic Trek.
What a looney response. This season is fantastic. I think we are watching completely different shows if that’s your take.
This episode was amazing.
Well Bears are fucking massive so if they slapped you without claws they still have the ability to break bones and cause other severe injury.
I am so excited for this. My two favorite current ST series coming together for what I am sure is some fantastic fan service.
Agreed. SoM was also a classic. I just enjoyed the aesthetic of Evermore and it had a cool dog companion.
Try Secret of Evermore. The combat is very different but the game allows for two players! One controls the main character and the other can control his pet dog. It’s one of the rare action RPGs of the time.
FF6 is such a great game. I saved up and bought both of these games as a kid, lots of late nights irrigating fields and killing rattlesnakes to get those titles. Both titles were great in their own way and I can’t imagine my childhood without them. Another great game was Secret of Evermore.
I wish Wild Arms had an official mobile port. Such a great series with no modern IP usage to take advantage of its cult status.
The official mobile port is well done. I know it wasn’t always the case but after some past updates I haven’t had any issues with it. I picked it up on Google Play and it was worth the $8 I paid.
I remember that. The Magicians was wild and I loved it.
One of the best ship to ship combat sequences ever made.
