As an adult, when I entered a redesigned MacDonald’s it did not appeal to me at all. It was like being inside the architectural embodiment of depression.
Not that it matters. MacDonald’s didn’t seem to mind Trump associating himself with their brand, so I won’t be eating anything from there ever again anyway (ignoring the myriad of other reasons to avoid them as well).
If I recall, Signal has gotten better in recent years in that you don’t necessarily need Google Play to use it anymore. But my issue with it is that their backend still seemed pretty centralized the last time I checked, which could get increasingly problematic moving forward, since they’re based in the US.

That doesn’t surprize me in the least. I try to commute on bike wherever feasible, but these days I almost entirely stay off roads. Biking has taught me that 99% of people do not deserve their license.
I love bicycling, and used to commute on bike almost exclusively. But I don’t do it so much anymore because I’ve had too many close calls.
This is the thing making me lean more toward leaving than trying to change things. Even if Trump were magically impeached today, and our election system were left as near-intact as it is, somebody just like him could be just as likely to be elected in the next cycle. And odds are he’s going to pull off rigging the system to make sure that happens by then.
I think that on a long term scale, to get at the root, something needs to be done about the media machine behind him. Culture eats policy for breakfast.
I think that everyone who is in a position to stop driving should do so, and everyone else should reduce as much as possible. There could be a no-drive Sunday (assuming that’s the day the least amount of people have to drive to work). Electric cars are still unaffordable for most of us, but everyone buying bikes in a short span of time could send a message.

That’s a good point, a lot of people probably would misuse them. On the other hand, I’ve known way too many people who clearly don’t know how to avoid cross contamination, or even proper food storage and refrigeration.
I have a Steam Deck, Miyoo Mini Plus, and Retroid Pocket 5. Even though the Deck gets cumbersome, it’s still what I use 99% of the time. One of the best game devices I’ve ever had.

Lazy lifehack: I’ve basically been eating the exact same thing every day the last couple of months. So I just re-wash the same bowl and fork I use every day. No dishes to build up!
As a former dish washer at a deli, it bothers me that homes come standard with two sinks instead of three.
I can hyperfocus when others have expectations of me (work), but in context of my own life and what I want to do with it, I can’t put the mental burden of managing me on someone else, and whenever anyone has tried I get become defiant against… my own self interests? FML.
I am at a weird-feeling place at the moment. I got too comfortable buying things from Amazon, so my brain doesn’t know how to shop now. But I canceled my Prime soon after the inauguration, and I’m thinking I need to delete my account all together to kind of force myself to start working on using alternatives.
