I’m currently running this instance on a Digital Ocean VPS with 1 VCPU and 1GB of ram, just to get started. I’m keeping an eye on CPU and memory usage, so I can upgrade it as we grow.

Right now it looks like this:

Today I added a swap file, since we’re around 90% memory usage. But I expect to probably have to bump it to 2GB in the next coming days.

    I find that both Lemmy and my Akkoma instance hover around 80% RAM usage but never go above that. I’m on the same sized droplet as you and hoping to keep it that way, for now.

      Are you planning to upgrade preemptively before the 12th, when many subreddits go dark? I might bump my instance just in case.

        I manually approve all requests to join so I’m not too worried. If I see a huge uptick I’ll upgrade
