President Trump is expected to sign a long-expected executive action Thursday calling on U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon “to take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure [of] the Department of Education and return education authority to the States,” according to a fact sheet provided by the White House. Trump plans to sign the order at a ceremony alongside the Republican governors of Texas, Indiana, Florida and Ohio.

The US is already pretty low on the list of countries with educated citizens. I guess they finally decided to cut their losses and reach for the bottom.

Given 1/3 of them voted for a man who paints himself orange and has the IQ of a tater-tot, it really shouldn’t take long.

This is the final play of the segregationists. The real, hidden heart of the argument from a lot of people against the DoEd is “the schools aren’t allowed to be segregated anymore and that’s wrong.”

Mark my words, you’ll see schools rapidly segregated by race and gender soon enough. Fathers and mothers, I hope you’re prepared to teach your daughters how to read and write, because all they’ll likely be getting within the next 5 years is home-ec and how to be a submissive wife - and that’s even if your state allows them to attend school.
