There’s so many stories of murders and criminal negligence and there’s no archive of it, the stories range from racist Fox News propaganda to genuine unreported instances of government murder. I want the truth, I want to know what happened in the astrodome, and I will get into arguments and fist fights with Boxing Day truthers because I’m actively commodifying a tragedy.
There was some white collar, techbro network admin dipshit who got featured on slashdot (I think) for “”““protecting””“” his employer’s IT shit or his valiant netadmin duties with a Glock during the Katrina aftermath. I’m trying to find the story again but having no luck. He had his own web page set up with pics, a bit like a diary or LiveJournal (remember those?) but it was a personal website as I recall. The whole thing would’ve been fine but y’know, he had to show pics of the fucking handgun to let the world know how serious and armed he was on those frontlines against the looter hordes or w/e (which even I, with my cringe fucking political views and libertarian leanings at that time, thought the guy was a fucking douchebag for).
I vaguely remember that, although I might be conflating it with some nerd on the Something Awful forums posting about how he everyday carries a gun and knife for his job as a sysadmin or whatever.
