“optimizing” is a portmenteau coming from “optical minimizing”. the technique involves not using glasses, you can’t tell when your code is trash if its blurry.

“Optimizing” is where you convince your programmers that microdosing MDMA is great for productivity and they all end up being really optimistic about how their code is doing.
