You can also get injured from a glass bottle, or even a glass straw, so it just takes caution. I normally do strawless now unless they offer metal straws, so I could do that but sometimes you do need a straw.

Some people have been injured or killed by falling on them, because it’s a rigid metal pole kept upright and by your head.
Not that like there’s a massive number of these cases, but it could rise if everyone uses them.
