Another example recipe in the article suggests it’s just throwing any ingredient you give it into a random recipe, substituting in literally anything indiscriminately. So it doesn’t work for the purpose of generating useful recipes.

Yeah, maybe a tool that generates recipicts but has no concept of what eatable ingredents are, is not a good idea regardless of stupid users.
It shouldn’t even let you enter in stuff like that, since it’s not food.
