boomer vibes
100% this. The absence of free WiFi will do shit, people still have mobile internet. Providing WiFi is just part of a good service. And what about customers who come alone for working on their laptop? It’s just silly, nothing else.
i don’t use this kind of wi-fi anyways because anyone can grab whatever you send through it
I’m glad you brought that up. Now a word from our sponsor, NordVPN…
Unironically actually one of the only good use cases for VPNs aside from piracy.
Zero purpose in running a VPN at home just to log into your boomer ass Facebook anyway.
Not true for websites with SSL encryption, which is basically 95% of the internet.

I’m open-source, check me out at GitHub.
With how ubiquitous mobile data is now, I feel like this sign was basically only relevant for a few years in the early 2010s
“We’re too cheap to have WiFi “
Jokes on you, I have unlimited data and a hotspot.
Saw something similar in a pizza shop. Personally I’d never connect to a public wifi, but I did think it was a cute sentiment.
Ok Boomer
Gen Z are the group leading the dummy phone movement so I think your low effort and comment might be wrong.
Real talk: what does “leading” actually mean? Because if it’s like 4% of the generation, it’s not much of a paradigm shift.
I was told not to talk to strangers.
