How is that people in positions of power often seem to have no sense of humour… Or at the very least their humour is completely different to mine… Is it just an age/generational thing?

I believe it’s a self-esteem issue. Someone that needs to enforce beliefs onto others could be very much self-aware of people ‘laughing at them’. Had my fair share of colleagues like this from a wide range of age groups and cultures, unfortunately.

The amount of anger in his response is part of what makes this hilarious. Major “I Think You Should Leave” energy.

I haven’t seen it anymore, but he did a few posts last year from what I remember. I don’t have twitter anymore for that. Maybe I’ll create a bot for that.

It really depends on where in Africa, as in some countries, it literally carries the death penalty… Africa is a big and diverse place.

It’s a joke. Jokes work by setting up an expectation, then subverting it. “Why did the chicken cross the road?” You think it might to be get bugs or run away from a fox, but the answer is “to get to the other side”. This joke works the same way. You think it’s going to be able a common want or need that spans sexual orientations, but it has to do with night coming after the day.

Also, the politician is a humorless fuck head and is being trolled.

        Neither works.
