I don’t think I could name 100 people under these rules.

Edit: Especially if we consider rule 7b (must be someone with real ass blood in their veins) to indicate that these people need to still exist today. So I can’t just rattle off 40 historical figures to pad it out.

No it specifically says dead people are allowed despite the real ass blood comment. Thats just specifically that they cant be fiction. You can pad it out with historical figures for sure.

Ah, you’re right. Ok, if dead people count I reckon I can probably name 100 people. 100 women is not happening though.

The idea is not to name women directly. You can do this but its hard for people. Try to do this instead. I want you to imagine a movie or tv series. Now who is a woman actor in it. Then think of a movie with them in it and name woman actor in that. Do this with other subjects as well. The idea is to build a web inside your head of things relating to women.

I don’t watch movies or TV series, I only vaguely know of a handful hollywood actors by cultural osmosis. I could probably walk into a room populated exclusively by the top 100 most popular celebrities and not have the faintest clue there was anything unusual going on.

I think its a completly reasonable rule to say it can’t be a person you personally know lmao. Point is for it to be googleable. Specifically mentioning that streamers are a valid option is obviously geared towards the audience (which is literally an on stream challenge lol) but anyone you can verify exists as a public figure should count.

The only woman I know, both in my personal life and the history, is Ada Lovelace because she was a programmer and that makes her a human being.

As far as I’m concerned, she was the only woman and there hasn’t been another woman since.

…time! Took me almost exactly 22 minutes. I got a little stuck after the small run of politicians because I was frustrated that I couldn’t remember more (there were probably a half dozen that I could only remember last names of, for example), and then I went after meandering through a few actors and authors I went on an absolute tear of singers (I swear I did like 20 in the span of two or three minutes). My favorite parts were when I took wild turns because I pivoted on a similar name.

    Haphazard category breakdown

    1 through 16 are athletes:

    • 1-4: tennis
    • 5: golf
    • 6-8: figure skating
    • 9-12 + 16: gymnastics
    • 13-14: football/soccer
    • 15: basketball

17-21, 26, 27, 29, 44 are First Ladies of the United States (28 (Ivanka) is a daughter of a president)

22-25, 30-39, 41-42, 89 are various politicians (nearly all Americans with a few Br*ts, a German, and a South Korean)

    40, 45, 51-55, 57-59, 77, 79, 81, 83, 88, 98, and 100 are actors (I’m not double counting people like Doris Day or Judy Garland)

46-50 are authors (couldn’t remember Shelley’s first name)

56 is Monica Lewinsky…not really sure what made me think of her at this point tbh

61 (Paris Hilton) is the lone “pure celebrity” on the list I think

43, 60, 62-76, 78, 82, 90-97 are singers (with some double- and triple-threats in there), going from 00s pop to divas to jazz to midcentury Hollywood and then a jumble at the very end

80 (Coco Chanel) is a fashion designer

    84-87 are various historical figures

99 (Oprah Winfrey) is a TV host/billionaire mogul

    Numbers by category:

    27 singers

    17 politicians

    17 actors

    16 athletes

    9 FLOTUSes

    5 authors

    2 civil rights icons

    1 amerikkka flagmaker

    1 president’s daughter

    1 doomed socialist

    1 reality star

1 woman who was treated horrifically by the media (not that others on this list weren’t, but that’s what she’s known for)

    1 fashion designer

    1 TV host/billionaire

edit 2: I found it pretty funny that two other people listed

    spoiler

    Courtney Love

which was kind of an asspull for me. Guess it just means we’re of a certain age…

Not gonna do it cuz I am tired and all but I think I would fare pretty well. Just based on authors, actresses, politicians, and revolutionaries alone.

So I know lots of women, but I haven’t the faintest idea of their names; for example I know of Henry the VIII’s multiple wives, I know of the woman who discovered something to do with radiation and had to be buried in a lead lined coffin, I recall the girl who used to kill Nazis and then killed her interrogator with his own gun, etc.
